Contentious Probate
The term ‘Contentious Probate’ refers to a dispute over the administration of a deceased person’s will. Contentious Probate is sometimes also reffered to as a ‘Will Dispute’ meaning it is disputing either the interpretation or the validity of a deceased person’s will. There are however a wide range of issues that could be involved that may not always apply to this term.
A contentious probate solicitor is often instructed to help dispute the validity of a deceased person’s apparent last valid will and testament. There are circumstances when the solicitor will help a client with a claim even if there is no will present at all.
